Lilac Moon runs in the 3:30 at Lingfield today in an all age 0-62 handicap. Nicky says she is better than ever – looking great in her coat and dead keen to get on the gallops at home. When we got her she was a little lame and for a while she was a bit reticent to train, but her attitude has improved 100% and she taken her racing really well.
She’s a lovely looking horse – well muscled with just one major flaw (straight up front) and I’m told she’s Michael Owen’s mum’s favourite. She’s been running well without winning – today is a little tougher than her last two assignments, but she may be improving at the moment and I couldn’t rule out a win – she’s quite a chunky price and I’ll have a little on. This is the third consecutive run that she’s been drawn 13 – a concern to the superstitious among us. Richard Kingscote again takes the ride.
