Just a quickie today as I’m off to Kempton.
King’s Head runs in the 2:40 and he’s favourite. He’s been disappointing lately and we’ve dropped him to claiming class. He’s working very well at home and if he puts his best foot forward he’ll win this race in a canter.
It’s a big if though. He doesn’t need much of an excuse to spit the dummy – he doesn’t like being crowded, he doesn’t like being disappointed. Recently he’s taken time to get moving, and over today’s shorter distance that might be a problem. He might be a back to win and lay for a place.
I’m positive though. Gary suggests he’s been moving better on the home gallops recently and he seems well in himself. I’ll be backing him to win – I’m sure there will be plenty ready to oppose.
