Two runners today – Mon Michel in the first at Uttoxeter and Master of the Race in the last at Sandown.
I’ve just got off the phone to Gary. We’re running Mon Michel because he needs this to qualify for the Jewson in October, which is his early target. If the ground is too firm then we will pull him out – Gary has been assured by the course that the ground is decent so we’ll almost certainly line up. He’ll give a good account of himself – as I’ve said before he’s a bit of a tricky ride and isn’t one to back at too short a price, but he’s talented. This will be his last race this season.
Master goes tonight, and we were happy with his last run. He is currently trading at around 25. I think there’s a good chance that he will surprise one day so I’ll carry on backing him, but he’s been expensive to follow thus far.
